Yellow 5 (Me 262A-1a (Wk-Nr 500443) 3./JG 7, Saaz, May 1945 flown by Ufz. Anton Schoppler) |
||
|
On the
evening of May the 8th, 1945 Schoppler flew this aircraft to Fassberg
from his base in Saaz and surrendered to British forces. The aircraft
was later exhibited at Farnborough. "Yellow 5" has heavily
mottled upper surfaces in what appears to be a 81/82/76 combination. |
