Avia S92 |

This is an Avia S 92 assembled at Letnany Research Institute in 1945. It is virtually identical to the standard A-1a. Many Me 262 manufacturing facilities were located in Czechoslovakia. After the war the Czechs found that they had enough parts to assemble a few complete aircraft. A single squadron of Czech air force was equipped with the fighter. There were even plans to resume production but that changed with the availability of newer and cheaper Migs.
